THIS RESEARCH
is to be carried out in the Bishri region in North-East Syria. The region is said to have been the primary homeland of the builders of ancient civilizations of West Asia such as the Assyrians and Babylonians. The research aims to clarify how nomadic tribal communities were formed in the region and how they contributed to the formation of the agriculture-based urban societies in the region.
